POPIA notice · plain language
Your data. Our promise.
The short version: we collect the least amount of information we can — usually just a mobile number, and only if you ask for reminders. Everything is deleted by 4 December 2026. We will never tell you who to vote for and we never store your political preference.
What we collect
- Your voting plan — stored only on your phone (localStorage). We never see it.
- Your mobile number — only if you opt in to reminders. Stored encrypted, used only to send you up to 4 messages about the 2026 local elections.
- Anonymous analytics — page views and button clicks with no PII, via a cookie-less analytics tool.
What we never collect
- Your address.
- Your political preference or party affiliation.
- Your contacts. The "remind 3 friends" flow opens WhatsApp on your phone — names never leave your device.
